Welcome to the SWCAA Website, packed full of information and advice for allotment holders and gardeners.
Due to the huge demand for our services and the amount of information which is included within our site, we decided it was time for a new more user friendly website.

You will still find all the useful information you have come to expect from SWCAA plus regularly updated news items and new easier to use navigation menus. We are always on the look out for any news items from allotment holders or gardeners as well as any pictures we can feature on our site. We would like to say a big thank you to all our members and the Councils across the country who have supported SWCAA through the past year, we look forward to welcoming more allotment holders, gardeners and Associations in the future.  We hope you enjoy the new website and make it the first port of call for all your allotment needs.

The allotment movement is continuing to grow strongly, becoming popular with young families who are grabbing the chance to grow their own.  Many Councils are now realising the importance of allotments but unfortunately supply can no longer meet demand, after years of neglect many allotments were sold for development and it is getting harder to find suitable land for new allotment sites. All across the country waiting lists are long, up to seven years in some areas, but most people can expect at least a two year wait.

If there is a shortage of, or no provision for allotments in your area SWCAA would like to hear from you. Are you a council looking to start a new allotment site? We can help guide you through the process of setting up a new allotment site in your area.  The SWCAA urge everyone out there who is stuck on a waiting list to take action. Some Councils will use many excuses of reasons why they can't provide more allotments we need to show them that there are plenty of reasons why they should. Find out what steps to take here
We would also like to thank Business Link for their help in enabling us to build this new site.
