IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING MEMBERSHIP FEES
As of the 1st April 2014 SWCAA will be raising our membership fees for both our individual members and Associations/Groups. The increase will apply to all new members who join and those who are due to renew on or after the 1st April 2014.
The price increases are mainly due to a large increase in members which in turn has increased our administration and the day to day running costs of our organisation. We have also had to make allowances for the rise in insurance premiums and in order to maintain the service we offer you these increases are necessary. If you have any questions about any of these changes please do not hesitate to contact us on 01271 327087
Welcome to our website. SWCAA are proud to be one of the UK's largest organisations supporting allotment holders and gardeners. We are a not for profit Community Interest Company.
We offer a wide range of services to allotment holders, associations, communtiy projects as well as local councils and private landowners, and provide a modern, friendly and efficient service. We are here to offer help and assistance to those who need it but unfortunately we are only able to offer in depth guidance and help to existing members. Please note we do not get involved in personal disputes of any kind.
Our main aims are to promote allotments and the benefits of growing your own, help to set up new allotment sites, assist in forming associations and protecting those sites that are under threat.
We hope you find our website useful and if you can't find what your looking for then please just get in touch and we will do our best to help.
Having an allotment is a great way of getting your hands on valuable gardening space and is also a great opportunity to meet fellow allotment holders. Allotments have a new role to play in the way we live our lives today, not only do they provide us with a place to grow fruit and vegetables they are a place to escape to away from the hassle's of everyday life.
There is always something new to learn or overcome and with the demand for allotments continuing to rise and food prices on the increase there has never been a better time to grow your own. Nothing beats the satisfaction of growing something from seed, to put food on your table and being able to say "I grew that" So why not check out the allotments in your area and get sowing and growing today!
