SWCAA are proud to work alongside our asociate members, sharing advice and information and helping to spread the word on the importance of allotments in our communities.

Salisbury's allotments are spread out across the City and enable hundreds of residents to work their own piece of land and enjoy the fruits of their labour.

There are over 650 plots across 12 different sites located around the city.  The current cost of an allotment is £4.70 per rod per annum. Accordingly the cost of a 5 rod plot is therefore £17.50 per annum. Allotment bills are sent out automatically at the start of each year and payments can be made in a variety of ways. Included in this payment is the option for new tenants to have their plot rotovated.  Click here to view a map of the site locations

Each allotment site has its own water supply and a warden to assist tenants. The sites also have security fencing and lockable gates to prevent unauthorised access.  Anyone who lives in Salisbury can apply for an allotment (Regretably the Council cannot consider applications from people who reside outside the city boundary at the present time)
For residents who live outside the city,  the allotments are administered by the local parish or town council.
Special provision has been made for disabled gardeners at Fisherton Farm allotments. Please contact the Council for more details.

Salisbury has its own Allotment Association which is an independent group, entirely autonomous from the city council, consisting of allotment tenants whose aims are to represent concerns and issues to the council. Membership currently costs £5 per annum which includes membership of the South West Counties Allotment Association (SWCAA).
