A new community garden is being set up by the Barnstaple Dementia Alliance and Age UK next to Trinity church in Barnstaple, North Devon.
The plan is to encourage older people with memory problems/dementia to get involved. It is a well known fact that gardening and growing plants can lift ones mood and bring pleasure and it has been proven to really benefit people with dementia. They are looking for people with an interest in gardening to come along and help us run this group which will meet twice a month for a few hours on alternate Tuesday mornings.
Anyone interested in joining us with the Community Garden at Trinity in Barnstaple can get more information from Age UK on 0333 241 2340 Download their poster here
